Meeting Called to order 7:07 May 13, 2010
Board Meeting Present: Cami Lovell, Linda Dowse, Steve Nelson, Heather Harris, KariAnn Young, Jill Johnson, Rob Lee.

Motion Made by Steve Nelson and seconded by Heather Harris to approve the agenda from the May 13, 2010 GPA school board meeting. The motion was carried unanimously.

Directors Report: Mr. Rob Lee

Financial Report: Lincoln Fillmore- Charter Solutions
Lincoln shared that the school is looking better. We are working with a good operational budget. Enrollment makes a big difference. The budget we hire on is the same budget presented in June.
Dress Code Policy Discussion: Concerns with dress code. Doesn’t complement Montessori curriculum. Current dress code isn’t being enforced. Concern with lack of parental interest and or knowledge of Montessori philosophy and the dress code agreement. Changing dress code could cause additional stress for those that want a strict code.
Linda made a motion to allow Mr. Lee to structure a proposal for mentors allowing them the flexibility give permission to students to dress appropriately for the activities of the day. The emphasis of this motion is based on curricular activities planned in advance with notification to the students and parents in time to participate. Second motion by KariAnn Young.
Motion carries unanimously.
