Attendance & Absence

State school attendance laws require children to attend school 180 days a year.  Attendance is a joint responsibility of parents/guardians, their children, and the school.

If a student is to be absent from school, parents/guardians should notify the school.  After office hours, the parents/guardians may call 435.867.5558 and leave a message on the voice mail.

Please provide the following information:

1. Name of student
2. Individual calling for the student
3. Number of days absent
4. Reason for the absence

A written note signed by the parent may also be sent after the absence.
