Andrew Burt
Director
Andy graduated from Southern Utah University with a BS in Communication. He will complete a Master’s in Education from SUU in 2014. Professionally, Andy has worked with youth for over 12 years. His experience includes working as a Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo, Ohio as well as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake. He was also the Assistant Director for SUU’s Upward Bound program working with high school students across southern Utah and northern Arizona. Andy has a passion for both youth and education and loves working at our school. The best part of his day is greeting our kids and parents at carpool (when the temperature is above freezing!).

Ada Munk
Business Manager
Ada was born and raised in Albania. She graduated from Southern Utah University with a Master’s of Accountancy in December 2010. She was awarded the Outstanding Accounting Graduate from the Utah Association of CPAs. She joined Charter Solutions, a charter management company, in May 2011. Gateway has been a Charter Solution client since it’s opening. Ada is the mother of two children. She loves the outdoors, cooking, running and anything that involves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys working with her Gateway team very much.

Mentors

Melissa Dolan
Science Enrichment 4-5/ Math Enrichment k-3
Mrs. Dolan, after attending school at BYU, UVU and SUU graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and has worked at Gateway for 7 years. Mrs. Dolan is an active teacher who loves to spend time outdoors with her family, usually on hikes throughout the state. Mrs. Dolan also loves POPCORN, this can be attributed to her upbringing in the cornfields of central Illinois. We are lucky to have such an amazing teacher who knows that Gateway is, “a community of everyone doing their best.”

Keith Wilson
PE & Spanish, Middle School
Mr. Wilson teaches Physical Education and Spanish in the middle-school environment. Keith graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and P.E. and has been at Gateway for 6 years. He would gladly accept your challenge to a game of H-O-R-S-E (did I mention he teaches PE and basically lives in the Gym). Not only is Mr. Wilson a wonderful teacher and athlete, he and his family also raise chickens and work hard on their farm in Parowan. Mr. Wilson “loves how accepting Gateway is. This school serves everyone no matter who they are. This goes for staff and students alike.” Not only is he proud to teach at Gateway, we are proud to have him (and not just because he makes sure we all have fresh eggs)!

Sharyn Manley
Library
Mrs. Manley has worked at Gateway for 6 years and has been the Librarian for the past 4 years. She graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Elementary Education. Not many people are aware of this interesting fact about our Librarian but she was an All-American Cheerleader and was a part of the San Diego Chargers cheer team! Mrs. Manley brings this enthusiasm and passion into the library as she cheers on our students daily. They love their visits to the library where they read and learn from Gateway’s “Spirit-Squad Leader.” Sharyn is a great member of our team and is always positive and a joy to be around (even if we had to confiscate her pom-poms).
