Gateway Preparatory Academy provides Iron County students from Kindergarten to 8th grade an education that focuses on individual skills, abilities, and needs.
Established in 2008, we provide an individualized experience focused on student growth while preparing students to be productive members of the community.
Our strengths include our child centered approach through the application of a Montessori philosophy and method as well as a focus on the arts and technology.
Our Pledge
As learners at Gateway Preparatory Academy, we pledge to act with caring; integrity and purpose, to self-govern and be resourceful. We commit to be actively engaged in learning, respect our learning environment, and the learning process of others.

Tomorrow, February 10th, is the last opportunity to attend this required meeting. Not only is parent/guardian attendance mandatory for acceptance, but attending also gives your student an extra entry into the lottery!
Inspired by the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, Mrs. Lindquist's 4/5 class created this beautiful door display using their own handprints to represent the Olympic rings. Projects like this are a wonderful way to practice fine motor control, while fostering a sense of global community and pride in our shared work. 🌍🤝
We’re also sending a huge Gateway shoutout to SUU alumni Jennifer Hansen, who is currently in Livigno, Italy, capturing the high-flying Half-Pipe and Slopestyle events! ⛷️

School Hotline Reporting
Gateway Preparatory Academy is committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical practices. A hotline is maintained by the Internal Audit Department of the Utah State Board of Education, and it is a venue for citizens, educators, employees, and other stakeholders to request audits or report concerns related to any of the agencies governed by or provided resources by the Utah State Board of Education.

Complaints or concerns can be filed by following the process as outlined here. Hotline complaints go directly to the State Board of Education Internal Audit Department and may be referred back to the LEA.
Gateway Preparatory Academy also encourages anyone concerned to reach out to the school administration when appropriate. All complaints are handled with discretion, and any individual submitting a concern may remain anonymous through the USBE hotline system.
