One of our former Gateway students and her family could really use our encouragement right now. Come out to KJ's Ice Barn to show your support at the Rally for Kensley. If you’re available, please consider attending let’s fill the space with love and community spirit! 💙💚❤️

A note from our librarian;

Dear Parents and Families,

Welcome back to a brand-new school year! 📚🌈 I am so excited to get our year started, and what better way to begin than with a library full of wonderful books and a whole lot of reading fun!

This year, our library theme is “Follow the Yellow Book Road!” 🌟📖 We’re inviting all students in Kindergarten through 5th grade to join us on a reading adventure all year long!

🌟 How It Works

Each student will receive a Yellow Book Road reading sheet with 18 yellow bricks. Teachers received a copy for each student last week.
Every time your child reads a book at home that is at their reading level, they can write the title of the book on one of the bricks.
Kindergarten and 1st grade students may use their Take-Home Library books.
Once all 18 bricks are filled in, have your child bring the completed sheet to the library. They will receive a fun prize such as a bookmark, pencil, sticker, or sucker! 🎉
Need another sheet? No problem! A blank Yellow Book Road sheet is attached to this email, so you can print additional copies at home whenever your child completes one. You can also stop by the library anytime, and I will be happy to give your child another copy.
At the end of the school year, the class in each grade level that reads the most books will win an Emerald City Party! 💚🏙️
Each time your child completes a Yellow Book Road sheet, their name will also be entered into a drawing for books and other fun prizes at our annual Love of Reading Assembly in March! 📚❤️
So, grab a book, start reading, and follow the Yellow Book Road all year long! I can’t wait to see how many bricks our students can fill and how far their reading adventures will take them.

Thank you for helping us make reading a fun and exciting part of every child’s year!

Happy Reading! 📚💛

From student to community builder! 🛠️ Big things are happening at the new Andy Burt Center site, and we couldn't be prouder to see one of our very own former students out there making it happen!
It’s incredible to watch our alumni grow up, master their craft, and build up the community we all love. Keep up the amazing work! 🧱✨
