Gateway Preparatory Academy is open to all Utah students regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, national origin, or ability/disability status. Acceptance to GPA is based on the following criteria.
Last year, Gateway Preparatory Academy admitted 253 new students grades K-8 for on-campus & online schooling. As we continue to grow, we plan to enroll more! If you are looking to transfer away from GPA, our policy can be found here or in our policies & procedures.
Enrollment Process
Information
- Students will be offered a position following an order of preference:
- First preference is given to students currently attending Gateway Preparatory Academy who plan to return for the next academic year.
- Second preference is given to siblings of current GPA attendees.
- Remaining applicants will be accepted to GPA on a space-available basis.
- Once Gateway has reached capacity (approximately 675 students), remaining names will be placed on the GPA waitlist in the order of date received.
- If an accepted student decides not to attend GPA or leaves the school during the year, their position will be offered to the next waitlisted student for that grade level.
- Once a student is accepted into GPA, the parent will sign a request for student records and the registrar will contact the former school to get those records.
- This process will be initiated within 3 days of the position opening and can typically be expected to take 2 weeks.
